The Old Rectory was constructed between 1873 and 1874 by the famous Victorian architect, George Edmond Street. He was one of the first architects of the Revival period who wished to show ‘how effective gothic architecture might be made where it simply depends for effect on artistic proportion’.

Located in Berkshire Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within a Conservation Area, Detail were appointed to apply for planning permission to replace the existing windows, along with the interior reconfiguration and refurbishment.
